Promoting ethical enterprise
Having set up and sold the world’s biggest gap year company, I discovered an amazing fact: you don’t need to be a mung bean eating, Birkenstock-wearing greenie to be part of an ethical enterprise.
A good business + a good cause = great profits
In fact, having a cause you passionately believe in at the very core of your business will help you pull-in happy and loyal customers, attract creative and passionate staff and a generate a great bottom line.
Still doing my bit
I still try to do my bit for the wider community: I sit on three public sector Boards, I’m the official Enterprise Ambassador for Yorkshire and I contribute financially to my local university and a charity that helps suffering alcoholics.
Partiesaroundtheworld.co.uk
Since selling i-to-i, I’ve founded ethical children’s party company partiesaroundtheworld.co.uk. This is the first of its type in the UK and its aim is two-fold:
- to give our children a strong social conscience
- to raise £1000’s for charity
